Tanvi Madkaiker is a Toronto-based, advertising and fashion photographer.
Her visual storytelling style has been moulded by her life and work in Toronto, Mumbai, and London, U.K. Her exposure to eastern and western aesthetics influence her creative process. She enjoys crafting stories that capture opposites at play.
She began her journey as a photographer under the tutelage and guidance of her lecturer & mentor David Desouza.
She assisted photographer Sameer Parekh and then went on to formally study photography at the London College of Communication where she studied under photographer Adrian Mott and assisted him in 2009-10.
For three consecutive years from 2010-2013, she was invited to teach the photography course as a visiting faculty member for the SYBMM students at R.D.National College, Mumbai.
Of all the shoots she has done in the last 7 years, what she is most proud of is shooting an album cover for Oscar-winning music composer A.R.Rahman, conceptualised and directed by Unnikrishnan Manikoth.
